Terms of Service

Cycle Journal is an informational journal for recording and reviewing personal cycle observations. It is not a medical device, not a diagnosis tool, and not a method of contraception or fertility treatment. We are not doctors or medical professionals, and using Cycle Journal does not create a doctor–patient or other professional relationship. Estimates such as phases, ovulation, and fertile windows are approximations based on the data you enter and may be wrong. They must not be relied upon to prevent or achieve pregnancy. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something in the app.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your journal entries remain yours. You may export or delete them at any time. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import.

Cycle Journal offers a single, one-time purchase for lifetime access. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe; in the iOS app, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The price is shown before you buy, and any applicable taxes are added at checkout.

If you purchased on the web through Stripe and are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will issue a full refund. Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple's refund process: request those refunds directly from Apple, as we are unable to issue refunds for App Store transactions. Because lifetime access is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, there is nothing to cancel; where a refund is granted, it ends your lifetime access.

The service includes the Cycle Journal iOS app, which can run in an on-device mode that stores your journal only on your phone without an account. In that mode you are responsible for keeping copies of your data through device backups or exports — if the device and its backups are lost, we cannot recover your journal, because we never had it. App Store distribution of the app is additionally governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Use the service only for its intended personal purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate. We may change or discontinue features.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cycle Journal and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the service. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or that we are required to act on legally.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms, which will carry a new “last updated” date.
